    As an administrator, Gail makes it her responsibility to maintain a welcoming and pleasurable atmosphere whenever you visit The Periodontal Specialists. With over nineteen years of experience in the dental industry, she has the knowledge and expertise to communicate accurately with our patients and ensure the high-quality service you deserve. She is always accessible to our patients and prepared to answer any questions or concerns you might have about your treatment or payment plan, making sure you are comfortable with the information you have been given. Her positive and comforting attitude puts everyone at ease. When not at work, Gail enjoys traveling, cooking and spending quality time with her family.

    Gina

    Gina brings over ten years of experience in the dental field to her role as an administration with The Periodontal Specialists, a position she has held since 2007. She works to create a warm and welcoming environment where each patient is given top-priority treatment. Through our thorough consultation process, Gina provides detailed treatment and financial plans to address any questions a patient may have. In her free time, Gina stays very active working out, rollerblading, playing sports and traveling to experience different cultures.

    Mia

    Mia, RN, BSCN, MSCN, ENC, is a registered nurse who joined The Periodontal Specialists in 2009 after 16 years in the nursing profession. Here she assesses, monitors and maintains our patients’ optimum health and safety before, during and after dental surgery. She administers oral and IV sedation and engages patients with entertaining stories or creative visualization while they wait for the anesthesia to take effect. She provides education to facilitate the patient’s discharge home to the care of family and friends and ensure a successful recovery. When not focused on medicine, Mia enjoys Muay Thai kickboxing, painting, writing and producing short films.

    Melanie

    Melanie has been a dental hygienist since 2009 and assists Dr. Veisman by helping patients maintain and stabilize their oral condition. While performing dental hygiene procedures such as scaling, root planning and oral irrigation as well as providing oral hygiene education, Melanie strives to keep patients comfortable, relaxed and at ease.

    Ana

    Ana is a certified dental assistant (CDAII) who has been putting smiles on her patients faces for over 17 years by showing them exceptional care both during and after every dental procedure. Prior to joining The Periodontal Specialists in 1997, she worked at the dental clinic at Scarborough General Hospital, assisting dentists who catered to handicapped patients. Her primary responsibility is to assist our dentists in every aspect of dental surgery, including sinus lifts, dental implants, bone regeneration and connective tissues grafting. She keeps up to date with the latest dental procedures and technology through seminars and continuing education. Beyond the office she loves spending time with her family, swimming and playing sports together. Her Sundays are dedicated to singing in her church choir and doing community service work.

    Hengameh

    As one of our two dental assistants, Hengameh assists our dentists during all dental procedures, focusing on taking X-rays and impressions, polishing teeth, making post-surgery calls and pre-surgical setups. She has eight years of experience as a dental assistant and loves the opportunity to meet, talk and even tell jokes to our patients to set them at ease. Her outside interests include travel and cooking.
