Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. If you have lost teeth, implants let you eat virtually anything and speak, laugh and smile with confidence, knowing that your teeth are secure and appear natural.

The dental implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

The Periodontal Specialists’ director, Dr. Herbert Veisman, has received extensive training in Implant Dentistry during his specialty training at Columbia University and over the past 20 years of practice.
