Meet Dr. Herbert Veisman, Periodontist Serving the Greater Toronto Area

After obtaining a B.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto, Dr. Herbert Veisman received his D.D.S. from the University of Western Ontario. He completed a general practice residency program at McGill University's Montreal General Hospital, then continued training at Columbia University in New York City, where he earned a specialty certificate in periodontics and implant surgery. His high standing won him the Melvin Morris Award for excellence in postgraduate clinical periodontics.

Dr. Veisman has maintained a position as a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Toronto and adjust professor and guest lecturer at the University of Western Ontario. In addition, he maintains a full-time private practice with special interest in bone regeneration, implant dentistry, and is founder of PerioShare CE, a continuing education workshop for general dentists. As well as being certified by the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Veisman is a Fellow and past-Examiner of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the Academy of Osseointegration,  the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Ontario Association for Dental Specialists. He is past-President of the Ontario Society of Periodontists and served on the executive of Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals.

Meet Dr. Philip M. Walton

Philip M. Walton, DDS, MMSc, FRCD (C)

It is with great pleasure that I announce Dr. Philip M. Walton has joined the Periodontal Specialists as an Associate.

Dr. Walton earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto and completed his Masters of Medical Sciences degree in Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Walton also completed externships at the University of Michigan and overseas at King's College London School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, England.

At present, Dr. Walton maintains the position of Associate in Dentistry as part of the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Toronto, where he participates in the clinical and didactic training of undergraduate dental students. Dr. Walton continues to maintain a strong affiliation to Harvard, as a past clinical instructor and admissions committee member.

As Periodontal Specialists, Dr. Walton and I will continue to assist dentists like you by delivering successful, long-lasting, natural-looking results to your patients who need significant dental reconstruction. In our clinic, Dr. Walton and I focus on complex periodontal, bone grafting, and full arch dental implant reconstruction cases. And we continue our commitment to developing and sharing techniques and practices with you and your team.
